Propane Buses are Better...

For our children
Cleaner: No toxic black smoke from the tailpipe for children to breathe like diesel buses emit.
Quieter: That means children arrive at school calmer and ready to learn.
More reliable: Long-distance range and quick warming cabins provide children with a warmer, safer ride to school.

For our community
More affordable: You can purchase four propane buses for every one electric bus.
Improve air quality: By allowing school districts to replace dirtier diesel buses faster and reduce carbon emissions right now.

For the environment
Cleaner energy that reduces harmful greenhouse gas emissions.
Takes pressure off our fragile electric grid.
Diversifies our energy mix.

Why Propane Buses?

  • They lower total ownership costs, reduce fuel and maintenance expenses, meet environmental initiatives, increase student health and safety, excel in cold weather and more.
  • In the U.S. over 22,000 propane buses transport more than 1.3 million students to school.
  • Over 1,000 school districts reliably operate propane school buses, including Missouri’s Kansas City, Fort Zumwalt, Grain Valley, Independence and Neosho school districts, and others.

Independence
