SUMMARY:CETP 1 - Basic Principles & Practices
DESCRIPTION:CETP Basic Principles and Practices of Propane is the entry-level course that provides introductory instruction required for all new industry workers and is the prerequisite for subsequent CETP modules. \nBasic Principles and Practices introduces students to: propane’s physical and combustion properties\, identifying propane industry standards\, how propane is produced and transported\, safety codes and regulations\, identifying basic parts of tanks\, cylinders\, fittings\, and storage installations\, maintaining a safe working environment\, and more. This course will aid in preparing for CETP certification. \nSchedule \n\nRegistration: 7:45 am\nTraining: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm\n\nCost \n\n$250 per student\n\nRegister Online \nWho Should Attend?\nBasic Principles and Practices is the introductory course for all employees\, owners\, managers\, and others who handle\, store\, or transport propane in the State of Missouri. State law requires that these industry personnel must attend and complete an approved\, state-certified training program every three years. \nWhat to Expect\nStudents will take quizzes and tests to assess their pace of learning. A multiple-choice test will be administered at the end of the class. Tests are graded by a third party and the results are mailed to each company. Registrants must be in attendance for the entire session. Registrants must provide proof of identification. A score of 70% or higher is required to pass the test. \nRegistration Includes: \nThe cost of student and test materials\, pencils\, markers and other materials. Lunch and refreshments are also provided. Other meals\, lodging and travel are not included in the class fee. \nCopies of NFPA 58\, the LP-Gas Code\, are available for purchase separately. See accompanying brochure for order information or call MPGA. \nThis seminar is certified by St. Louis County for 8 Professional Education Units.
