SUMMARY:Hazmat Training
DESCRIPTION:The Propane-Specific Haz-Mat Training class is designed specifically for propane industry owners\, CEOs\, safety directors\, driver trainers\, office personnel\, and personnel involved in shipping and transporting hazardous materials. \nThe hazardous materials regulations require that each HM employee be trained and tested within 90 days of employment. In addition\, each employer must certify that their employees receive Haz-Mat training every three years. \nThe regulations require that the training include general awareness and familiarization training\, function specific training\, security awareness\, in depth security\, and safety training. Training must include editorial changes and amendments that have been made to the regulations. Registrants must provide proof of identification. A score of 70% or higher is required to pass the test. \nCDL Hazardous Materials Endorsement does not satisfy the training requirement. Failure to comply with this regulation may result in civil penalties of up to $27\,500\, but not less than $275 per day. \nSchedule \n\nTraining: 8:00 am\nTesting: 11:30 am\n\nCost \n\nMembers: $55\nNon-members: $95\n\nRegister Online \nRegistration Includes:\nThe cost of student and test materials\, pencils\, markers\, and refreshments.
