SUMMARY:HVAC Compliance Training
DESCRIPTION:Missouri state law requires that all workers who service or install equipment or appliances that use propane gas (LPG) must be certified by the Missouri Propane Gas Commission. \nTo help HVAC employers comply with state law\, MPGA has developed a one-day class that meets the training requirements of the Commission’s regulation. This class is conveniently offered at five locations throughout the state and includes all required materials\, breaks and lunch. Class size is limited\, so register for this important training soon! Every registrant must attend the entire day of training and receive a 75% on the final test in order to be certified. \nSchedule \n\nRegistration: 7:45 am\nClass: 8 am – 4:30 pm\n\nCost \n\nMembers: $175 per student\nNon-members: $245 per student\n\nThis course is closed for registration. \nWho Should Attend?\nMissouri Training Rule 2 CSR 90-10.012(5) Every individual handling LP gases or servicing appliances or equipment within any business involved in handling\, storing or transporting LP gases or involved in the installation\, repairing or servicing of piping\, equipment or appliances for use with LP gases must attend and complete an initial training program as defined in 2 CSR 90 -10.012(6)\, including the passing of a written exam. Every individual subject to the requirements of this section shall attend refresher training at least once every three (3) years. New employees shall be trained by their employer until such time that training is available through a training program approved by the director. The employer\, or individual if self-employed\, is responsible for ensuring compliance with this section. . (6) Each training program’s curriculum must be based on the Propane and Education and Research Council (PERC) Certified Employee Training Program (CETP) or equivalent\, structured to meet the trainee’s needs\, and contain information on applicable statutes and regulations governing liquefied petroleum gases. All training programs must be instructor-led by a competent trainer\, include hands-on training or a skills assessment\, and include an exam which requires a passing score of at least seventy percent and graded by a third-party grader. Programs must be approved by the commission or its designee initially and resubmitted for review and approval at least once every two years or at such time change has been made; and any training program that\, through audit\, does not meet the approved training program criteria may be rejected for use by the commission or its designee. \nAdditional Information \nThis seminar is certified by St. Louis County for 4 (four) Professional Education Units.\nThis class is also certified by NATE (North American Technician Excellence.)

DESCRIPTION:MPGA’s state-certified Dispensing Propane Safely class is based on a nationally recognized curriculum\, instructor’s experience\, and applicable codes and regulations. Employees you send to Dispensing Propane Safely are your best protection against accidents. Registrants must be in attendance for the entire session and pass the final test with a 70% in order to be certified. \nSchedule \n\nRegistration: 7:45 am\nTraining: 8:00 am – 3:00 pm\n\nCost \n\nMembers and Non-members: $145 per student\n\nThis course is closed for registration. \nWho should attend?\nMissouri’s state regulations governing propane requires that anyone dispensing propane receive state-certified propane safety training as soon as the training is available in their area. It is also required that anyone dispensing propane have training every three years and the recurring training must also be a state-certified program. It is illegal for any person not so trained to operate the dispensing device. It is also the responsibility of the owner or manager where the dispenser is located to see that all the employees that operate the dispenser receive state-certified training every three years. \nAdditional Information \nIncluded in the class fee are training materials\, lunch and refreshment breaks. In addition\, buying NFPA’s Pamphlet 58 is optional for this course and should be used for reference on the job. If you have a copy\, you’re welcome to bring it. DESCRIPTION:The CETP Refresher class will refresh your knowledge of the important concepts and tasks covered in Basic Principles and Practices of Propane. It also includes new information added to the course. CETP Refresher will build on the previous curriculum to provide updates on codes\, standards\, regulations and state law. We will revisit basic concepts and review any important safety\, equipment or operational developments. The source module and lesson from the full course will be identified for each topic covered. Note that not all modules and lessons in the full course are covered in refresher training. Students will take quizzes and tests to assess their pace of learning. A multiple-choice test will be administered at the end of the class; these tests are graded by a third party and the results are mailed to each company. DESCRIPTION:Missouri state law requires that all workers who service or install equipment or appliances that use propane gas (LPG) must be certified by the Missouri Propane Gas Commission. \nTo help HVAC employers comply with state law\, MPGA has developed a one-day class that meets the training requirements of the Commission’s regulation. This class is conveniently offered at five locations throughout the state and includes all required materials\, breaks and lunch. Class size is limited\, so register for this important training soon! Every individual subject to the requirements of this section shall attend refresher training at least once every three (3) years. New employees shall be trained by their employer until such time that training is available through a training program approved by the director. The employer\, or individual if self-employed\, is responsible for ensuring compliance with this section. . (6) Each training program’s curriculum must be based on the Propane and Education and Research Council (PERC) Certified Employee Training Program (CETP) or equivalent\, structured to meet the trainee’s needs\, and contain information on applicable statutes and regulations governing liquefied petroleum gases. All training programs must be instructor-led by a competent trainer\, include hands-on training or a skills assessment\, and include an exam which requires a passing score of at least seventy percent and graded by a third-party grader. Programs must be approved by the commission or its designee initially and resubmitted for review and approval at least once every two years or at such time change has been made; and any training program that\, through audit\, does not meet the approved training program criteria may be rejected for use by the commission or its designee. \nAdditional Information \nThis seminar is certified by St. Louis County for 4 (four) Professional Education Units.\nThis class is also certified by NATE (North American Technician Excellence.)

The employer\, or individual if self-employed\, is responsible for ensuring compliance with this section. . All training programs must be instructor-led by a competent trainer\, include hands-on training or a skills assessment\, and include an exam which requires a passing score of at least seventy percent and graded by a third-party grader. DESCRIPTION:MPGA’s state-certified Dispensing Propane Safely class is based on a nationally recognized curriculum\, instructor’s experience\, and applicable codes and regulations. Employees you send to Dispensing Propane Safely are your best protection against accidents. Registrants must be in attendance for the entire session and pass the final test with a 70% in order to be certified. \nSchedule \n\nRegistration: 7:45 am\nTraining: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm\n\nCost \n\nMembers and Non-members: $145 per student\n\nRegister Online\nPDF Registration \nWho should attend?\nMissouri’s state regulations governing propane requires that anyone dispensing propane receive state-certified propane safety training as soon as the training is available in their area. It is also required that anyone dispensing propane have training every three years and the recurring training must also be a state-certified program. It is illegal for any person not so trained to operate the dispensing device. It is also the responsibility of the owner or manager where the dispenser is located to see that all the employees that operate the dispenser receive state-certified training every three years. \nAdditional Information \nIncluded in the class fee are training materials\, lunch and refreshment breaks. In addition\, buying NFPA’s Pamphlet 58 is optional for this course and should be used for reference on the job. If you have a copy\, you’re welcome to bring it. If you need a copy\, you may purchase one when you register. Other meals\, lodging and travel are not included in the class fee.

Students will take a multiple-choice test at the end of the class; these tests are graded by a third party and the results are mailed to each company.
