The Emissions Advantage of Propane Appliances

With a high-efficiency propane furnace, homeowners have a cleaner source of home heat than electric furnaces, Energy Star rated and standard electric heat pumps, and heating oil. Propane also has a reputation for keeping homes more comfortable with a warmer heat than other power sources.

Propane Water Heating

High-efficiency propane water heaters emit 25% fewer NOx criteria pollutants compared to electric water heaters.

For lower emissions, propane storage tanks and tankless water heaters outperform electric models. Propane is also the best choice for energy efficiency that cuts homeowners’ energy bills, and keeps up with heavy water heater usage.

High-efficiency propane kitchen ranges emit 83% less SOx criteria pollutants compared to electric kitchen ranges.
