CETP – Vapor Distribution

Vapor Distribution is a three-day continuing education seminar geared toward the service technician or personnel involved in vapor distribution. Students attending Module 4.1 must have completed and passed Module 1, Basic Principles and Practices. Students will take a number of quizzes and tests in order to assess their pace of learning. A multiple choice test will be administered at the end of the class. Topics covered in this class but not limited to: preparing tanks and cylinders for transporting; locating underground utilities and services; preparing foundations; installing regulators; sizing distribution lines, copper tubing, steel piping and corrugated stainless steel tubing; performing pressure tests on gas distribution lines; performing leak checks, flow checks; operating pressure requirements; placing appliances into service; documenting and recordkeeping; communicating safety information to customers. Tests are graded by a third party and the results are mailed to each company.

Who Should Attend?
Propane industry personnel who have previously completed CETP Module 1: Basic Principles and Practices and would like to expand their training to include vapor distribution.
Additional Information
Included in the class fee are training materials, lunch and refreshment breaks. In addition, buying NFPA’s Pamphlet 58 is optional for this course and should be used for reference on the job. If you have a copy, you’re welcome to bring it. If you need a copy, you may purchase one when you register. Other meals, lodging and travel are not included in the class fee.
