Who Should Attend?
Basic Principles and Practices is the introductory course for all employees, owners, managers and others who handle, store or transport propane in the State of Missouri. State law requires that industry personnel must attend and complete an approved, state-certified training program every three years. Basic Principles & Practices is the prerequisite for all other CETP courses. It covers the physical properties and combustion characteristics of propane; identifying propane industry standards; safety codes and regulations; identifying basic parts of tanks; cylinders, fittings and storage installations; maintaining a safe working environment; and more.
MO-PERC funding underwrites the cost of student and test materials as well as a copy of 2020 NFPA 58, pencils, markers and other materials. Lunch and break refreshments are provided. Other meals, lodging, and travel are not included.
This seminar is certified by St. Louis County for 8 Professional Education Units.
